HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03092010 - C.2RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the conveyance of Grants of Easements to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6. DETERMINE that the conveyance of said easements is in the public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with County Costa County’s (County) use of the property. AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors to execute the Grants of Easements on behalf of the County, as recommended by the Public Works Director. DIRECT the Real Property Division of the Public Works Department to cause said Grants of Easements to be delivered to the grantee. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. The activity is funded by Contra Costa Transportation Authority. Project No. 4660-6X4168 BACKGROUND: The County acquired the entire property on September 24, 2009 in fee for road purposes. Due to the highway widening project, PG&E’s existing easements will need to be relocated over a portion of said property, described in the attached document. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: PG&E would not have the necessary land rights for distribution of electric energy and transmission facilities to be located within the approved plans and specifications.
