Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department
to execute a Purchase Order with Applied Remedial Services, Inc (ARS), in an amount not
to exceed $260,000, for removal and disposal of hazardous waste materials at Contra Costa
Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centes, for the period from March 1,
2010 through February 28, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
ARS provides removal and disposal of hazardous waste at the hospital and all the clinics to
comply with State and Federal Regulations. This service is required on a quarterly basis.
Health facilities are monitored on a quarterly basis to ensure that hazardous waste is being
disposed of properly.
