APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract with Multilingual Counseling, Inc., a Non-Profit Corporation, in an
amount not to exceed $150,000 to provide mental health services to adults and children who
are not Medi-Cal eligible, and Medi-Cal eligible clients who do not have a mental health
benefit for the period March 1, 2010 through February 29, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$150,000: 100% County. This is a budgeted expenditure.
BACKGROUND:
Mental health services to non-Medi-Cal eligible clients and services not covered by
Medi-Cal for Medi-Cal eligible clients are federally mandated for adults and children
involved in the Child Welfare System.
In an effort to increase accountability for delivered mental health services, the Employment
