Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #26-306-17 with Per Diem Staffing Systems, Inc., a corporation, in
an amount not to exceed $265,000, to provide temporary respiratory therapist services at
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period
from February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is 100% funded by the Health Services Department’s Enterprise I budget.
BACKGROUND:
On April 7, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-306-14 (as amended by
Contract Amendment Agreement #26-306-16) with Per Diem Staffing Systems, Inc., for the
period from February 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010, for the provision of temporary
respiratory therapist services to cover employee sick leaves and workers compensation
leaves, at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers.
