HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02232010 - C.77RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to enter into a Neighborhood Stabilization Program Agreement with Parkway Housing, Inc.; and ACKNOWLEDGE that a Neighborhood Stabilization Program Agreement with Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond for the same purpose will be terminated. FISCAL IMPACT: No General Fund impact. Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds are provided to the County on a formula allocation basis through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). AS A DEVELOPER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). On September BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) 1, 2009, CHDC and the County entered into NSP program agreement number 09-02-NSP. CHDC has requested that the County assign its designation as a developer to Parkway Housing, Inc. (Parkway). Parkway is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Parkway is a subsidiary of CHDC and has the same Board of Directors and staff as CHDC. County staff supports this request. The execution of a NSP program agreement with Parkway will not have any impact on the implementation of NSP. CHDC has purchased one home through the NSP. It will complete the rehabilitation and sale of this home as CHDC. Future transactions will be through Parkway. ATTACHMENTS Original BO
