HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02232010 - C.70RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Resolution #2010/40 allowing Contra Costa County Emergency Medical Services to receive state and federal level summary criminal history information for certification of Emergency Medical Technicians. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: Contra Costa County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has been participating in a State level Department of Justice background check program since 2001. On July 1, 2010, State regulations will require background checks at the State and federal level for all Emergency Medical Technicians certified in California. This resolution will allow Contra Costa County EMS to receive federal level summary criminal history information, as well as continuing to receive state level information.
