HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02092010 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brenner, M.D.), to execute, on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #22–033–52 with Meals on Wheels\Family and Community Services of Contra Costa, (dba Senior Outreach Services) a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $190,778, to provide congregate meals for the Senior Nutrition Program, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. This Contract includes a three-month automatic extension through September 30, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $47,695. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is 100% federally funded under Title III C (2) of the Older Americans Act of 1965 through an interdepartmental agreement with the Contra Costa Employment and Human Services Department. No County funding is required. On June 3, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #22-033-50 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement 22-033-51) with Meals on Wheels\Family and Community Services of Contra Costa, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, (which included a three-month automatic extension through September 30, 2009) for the provision of congregate meal services for the Senior Nutrition Program. Approval of Novation Contract #22-033-52 replaces the automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2010.
