APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a
Purchase Order with Garrison Enterprises, Inc. (GEI) in the amount not to exceed $200,000 to procure an
Environmental Health System Data Management System.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this initiative is from permit fees and fees for service.
BACKGROUND:
This is a web-based solution for use by the County’s Environmental Health Division, and will provide access to
public records online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through its state of the art website. The DHD services provided
for the County will incorporate inspections, reporting and analysis for the following program areas: retail food, pools,
solid waste, medical waste/body arts, wells, septic, small water systems, inspection scheduling, time and activity
tracking.
The system provides for data management, including invoicing for permits, tracking of payments,

This system will replace an obsolete system which is expensive to continue to maintain.
