HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02022010 - C.29RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D.), to execute, on behalf of the County, Agreement #28-808 with the City of Antioch, Community Development Block Grant CDBG, Recovery Act Program, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $20,000 for the feasibility cost analysis of the Synergy House Capital Development project, for the period from November 1, 2009 through January 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: The agreement will result in an amount not to exceed $20,000 necessary to assess the feasibility of the Synergy House Capital Development project No County funds are required. BACKGROUND: The County Homeless program is seeking funding through the City of Antioch’s Community Development department to support the feasibility study associated with the proposed conversion of 4639 Pacheco Blvd., Martinez to Sober Living Transitional Housing for homeless individuals. Approval of this Agreement #28-808 will provide funds to development the Synergy Transitional Housing Program for homeless individuals in recovery from substance abuse, through January 30, 2011, including agreeing to indemnify and hold the City harmless for claims arising out of the County’s performance under this Agreement.
