HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01262010 - C.34RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74–387 with Seneca Residential and Day Treatment Center for Children, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $251,915, to provide school-based mental health services to Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) students, for the period from November 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 30% by Federal FFP Medi-Cal, 17% by State Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), 50% by Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA/SB 90), and 3% by County Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing school-based mental health services, including assessments; individual, group and family therapy; medication support; case management; outreach; and crisis intervention services for SED school-aged children and their families. Under Contract #74-387, Contractor will provide school-based mental health services to SED students at Kennedy High School in Richmond, through June 30, 2010.
