contract amendment with California Department of Education to update Funding Terms and Conditions to include
new program eligibility requirements, admissions policies, and fee schedule, with no change to the payment limit
of $1,454,422 or term July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.

Subject:2009-10 CDE Alternative Payment Childcare services revenue contract, Amend 1
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
for childcare program services (Alternative Payment) to be provided by Employment & Human Services Department,
Community Services Bureau. This amendment is to update Funding Terms & Conditions with new information from
the State regarding program eligibility requirements, admissions policies, and fee schedule.
Approval of this revenue contract will provide support funds for alternative payment childcare services to program
eligible children and families.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports three of Contra Costa
County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families
that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and, Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These
outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education,
nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
