Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D.), to accept, Grant Award
#28-715-2 (CA0187B9T050801) from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
McKinney-Vento funding in an amount not to exceed $158,041, for the Lakeside Permanent Supportive Housing
Program in Concord, for the period from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This grant will result $158,041 of funding from HUD to support two subcontracts, one with Resources for
Community Development and one with Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. The subcontractors will provide the 20% match
required by HUD. No additional County funds required.
BACKGROUND:
Lakeside Permanent Supportive Housing is a mixed-use development and includes 12 units for homeless families.
The units set aside for the homeless serve families with at least one parent disabled by mental illness, substance
abuse, HIV/AIDS, or dual/multiple diagnoses and

and affordable housing.
Approval of Grant Award #28-715-2 will allow the County to perform all responsibilities in relation to receipt of the
funding and contracted provisions of services for the Lakeside Permanent Supportive Housing Program in Concord,
through August 31, 2010.
