for the period January 1, 2010 through April 30, 2010.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
funding from California Department of Community Services and Development to operate LIHEAP for
program-eligible households in Contra Costa County.
The State is releasing a portion of the funding as an interim contract to enable Contractors to begin providing services
while the State continues to resolve Davis-Bacon requirements. Upon resolution, the remaining program year funding
will be released.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department, Community Services Bureau LIHEAP supports one Contra Costa
County community outcome - Outcome 4: "Famlies that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing." This outcome is achieved
by providing energy program assistance to help keep households warm in the winter and to increase household
energy efficiency.
