APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with FamiliesFirst, Inc., to decrease the payment limit by $21,229 to a new payment limit of $509,495
for intensive family preservation services, for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$509,495:(20% County, 47% State; 33%Federal);
BACKGROUND:
FamiliesFirst, Inc. was selected from a competitive procurement, Request for Proposal (RFP) #1076, to operate an
Intensive Family Preservation Program designed to provide intensive, individualized, in-home family preservation
intervention with a potential for individualized time limited aftercare to assist families who are at risk of entering the
Child Welfare System.
This amendment reduces the contract payment limit by $21,299 as a result of a reduction in state funding for Family
Preservation.
