HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01122010 - C.101RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to perform an RFP Bid, to select a vendor for the purchase of two IBM servers for the PeopleSoft system disaster recovery in an amount not to exceed $120,000. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of $120,000 is budgeted for Fiscal Year 2009/10 in the PeopleSoft Project (0145/1695) (100% General Fund). BACKGROUND: The Department of Information Technology is initiating the purchase of two contingency servers on behalf of the County Administrators office. These servers are to provide a platform for the County's PeopleSoft Disaster Recovery plan. In accordance with Administrative Bulletin No 611, County Departments are required to get Board approval for single item purchases over $100,000. The County Administrator’s Office has reviewed this request and recommends approval.
