HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10202009 - C.31RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patricia Tanquary) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27–565–7 with Docustream, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $160,000, to provide electronic claims processing services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. BACKGROUND: The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. On December 16, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27–565-6 with Docustream, Inc. for the period from November 1, 2008 through October 31, 2009, to provide electronic claims processing including scanning, storage, encryption and retrieval.
