ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20737 to cancel one (1) Information Systems
Specialist II (LTVA, Represented) position #13104 and add one (1) Account Clerk
Supervisor (JDHD, Represented) in the Employment and Human Services Department as
recommended by the Assistant County Administrator-Human Resources Director
FISCAL IMPACT:
If this action is approved, this will result in a decreased County cost of $23.42 a month.
BACKGROUND:
The Department requests the cancellation and reallocation of funds for one (1) Information
Systems Specialist II and the addition of one (1) Account Clerk Supervisor for the County’s
In-Home Supportive Services Payroll Unit. The funds should be reallocated from the
cancelled Information Systems Specialist II to the addition of the Account Clerk Supervisor.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
addition of this position is imperative as the Account Clerk Supervisor oversees the
processing of approximately 9,000 timesheets for the County’s In-Home Supportive
Services Providers. The unit is also responsible for entering approximately 7,000
documents for In-Home Supportive Services clients.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the In-Home Supportive Services Payroll Unit, located at
500 Ellinwood Drive in Pleasant Hill, will continue to be unsupervised jeopardizing the
timely processing and payment of approximately 9,000 In-Home Supportive Services
provider’s paychecks, and the timely processing of documentation related to maintaining
accurate administration of approved hours of service for the IHSS clientele.
