Appoint Barbara Chambers, Assistant Clerk-Recorder, to the Management Seat number 1 of
the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Council for a term expiring on November 30,
2011, as recommended by David Twa, County Administrator.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
The Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity is comprised of eleven seats and
would like to fill this vacant seat. It is necessary to fill this vacancy in an effort to bring the
Advisory Council to its required number of active members.
The role of the Advisory Council is to advise the Board of Supervisors regarding the
implementation of the County's Affirmative Action Plan; review the County's Affirmative
Action Program; and assist in the implementation of the County's Contracting Programs
(Small Business Enterprise, Outreach, E-Outreach, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and
Local Business Enterprise Programs). The Advisory Council also recommends actions to
