HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12012009 - C.54RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Randall Sawyer), to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #22–351–14 with City of Richmond, on behalf of its Fire Department, a government agency, in an amount not to exceed $312,775, to provide hazardous materials training for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by AB 2185 fees the County charges to businesses for the handling of hazardous materials, and is included in the Department’s budget. BACKGROUND: This Agreement provides Hazardous Materials Training for the Richmond Fire Department. On October 2, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement #22–351–13 with the City of Richmond, for the period from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009, for the provision of hazardous materials training. Approval of Agreement #22–351–14 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2011, including mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of performance of this agreement.
