HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12012009 - C.45RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to submit a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Grant Program application to the Bay Area Air Quality Mangement District (BAAQMD) for improvements to the Lefty Gomez Community Center Building, Rodeo area. FISCAL IMPACT: None. No General Fund revenues are involved. Incidental costs for filing the application are covered by Special Districts CSA M-17 funds and other administrative funds. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa Public Works Department plans to apply to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) Greenhouse Gas Reduction Grant Program for approximately $200,000 for imporvements to the Lefty Gomez Community Center Building (470 Parker Ave., Rodeo). The BAAQMD established a Carbon Offset Account with approximately $4 million dollar. The BAAQMD seeks proposals for energy efficiency and renewable energy proejct in non-residential public, governmental buildings located in Rodeo, Crockett, Hercules, Pinole, and areas between these locations.
