HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12012009 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, on behalf of the Workforce Development Board to accept Community Development Block Grant funding up to $22,000 from the City of Concord for the Small Business Management Assistance Program for the term of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: No County costs. $22,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds will support the Small Business Management Assistance Program. BACKGROUND: The Small Business Assistance Program through the Workforce Development Board (WDB) Small Business Development Center provides assistance and training for small business entrepreneurial development. The program facilitates the development and training for the expansion and retention of jobs, which directly benefits low-to-moderate income residents of Contra Costa County.
