HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12012009 - C.24RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT the resignation of Ms. Priscilla Leadon, Mandated Partner Seat 5, from the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County. Declare the vacancy and direct the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy for filling the vacancy as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. The local Workforce Development Board is mandated by the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1988 (WIA). The costs of advertisement for new appointees will be funded by WIA funds. BACKGROUND: Ms. Leadon resigned from Mandated Seat #5 of the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County. The resignation was submitted in accordance with section 117 (b)(2)(A)(i) of the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
