FISCAL IMPACT: $444,134: No County Costs, 100% Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Funding BACKGROUND: Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa (WDB) and the Youth Council, awarded this Interagency Agreement to the Contra Costa County Office of Education under the open bid process, Request for Interest 1100, for in-school and follow-up youth services as mandated by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The Youth Council and WDB awarded this Interagency Agreement for these services. This renewal continues these year-round WIA formula youth program services to 190 in-school youth countywide. (#18-215-2) CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Services to be offered through these contracts directly support two of the Children’s Report Card community outcomes: 1) “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School”; and, 2) “Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood”.
