Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74–299–4 with Anka
Behavioral Health, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective September 1, 2009, to amend
Contract #74–299–3, to increase the payment limit by $158,604, from $536,372 to a new
payment limit of $694,976, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2009 through June
30, 2010, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $79,302, from $268,186
to a new payment limit of $347,488, with no change in the term of the automatic extension,
through December 31, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 53% by Federal Medi-Cal and 47% by State Mental Health Services
Act (Prop 63).
BACKGROUND:
On July 7, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74–299–3 with Anka
Behavioral Health, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010,

which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2010, to continue
implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Community Services and
Supports Program.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74–299–4 will allow the Contractor to
provide additional services, including implementation of the MHSA Bridges to Home
Program, through June 30, 2010.
