HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11032009 - C.50RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-881-14 with Craig Nielsen, M.D., a self employed individual, effective August 1, 2009, to amend Contract #26-881-13 to decrease the payment limit by $340,000, from $900,000 to a new payment limit of $560,000, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: On December 18, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-881-13 with Craig Nielsen, M.D. for the period from October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2010, for the provision of anesthesiology services including consultation, training, medical procedures, on-call and clinical coverage. The decrease in this Contract will be used to compensate other anesthesiologist contracts to allow for additional hours of service. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-881-14 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide anesthesiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, through September 30, 2010.
