Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute on behalf of
the County, Contract #26-606-3 with Sodexo America, LLC, a limited liability company, in
an amount not to exceed $284,060, for the provision management and oversight of the Food
and Nutrition Services Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa
Health Centers, for the period from November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise I Funds.
BACKGROUND:
On October 7, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-606-1 (as amended
by Amendment Agreement #26-606-2) with Sodexo America, LLC to provide management
and oversight of the Food and Nutrition Services Unit at Contra Costa Regional Centers
including providing day-to-day on-site management, addressing potential problems, creating
weekly menus and ensuring availability of nutritious meals for patients and employees at
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center,
