HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11032009 - C.23RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5018 to authorize new revenue in the amount of $1,939,957 from 2007 U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services Grant Program for regional communications interoperability upgrades and equipment for the period of September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases revenue and appropriations by $1,939,957. There is no change in net county cost. (CFDA #16.710) BACKGROUND: California is home to five Urban Area Security Initiative partnerships as required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The San Francisco Bay Area Super Urban Area Security Initiative (SUASI) partners applied for U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services grant funds for regional communications interoperability upgrades and equipment. The Bay Area SUASI, for which the City and County of San Francisco is the fiscal agent, received a total of $7,645,314.
