HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10132009 - C.36RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D.), to accept, on behalf of the County, Grant Award #28-779-2 from New Connections, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $12,000, for the County’s Public Health Division AIDS Counseling and Testing Program- Growing Great Families Project, for the period from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: Acceptance of this Grant Award will result in an amount of $12,000 from New Connections Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Act funds. No County funds are required. BACKGROUND: The County’s Public Health AIDS Program currently provides HIV testing and counseling by State Certified staff in a number of locations throughout the County.
