Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #76-506-6 with Robert Liebig, M.D., a self
employed individual, effective October 1, 2009, to amend Contract #76-506-5 to increase
the payment limit by $360,000, from $1,278,000 to a new payment limit of $1,638,000,
with no change in the original term of January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
On January 8, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-506-5 with Robert
Liebig, M.D. for the period from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2010, for the
provision of radiology services including consultation, on-call coverage, supervision and
interpretation of CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, invasive procedures and plain films for Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers.

the time of negotiations the Payment Limit was based on target levels of utilization.
However, due an increase in on-call coverage and patient volume utilization has been higher
than originally anticipated. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #76-506-6 will
allow the Contractor to provide additional radiology services at Contra Costa Regional
Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, through December 31, 2010.
