APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute a 2-year blanket purchase
order with Hanson Mid Pacific, Incorporated effective October 6, 2009, in the amount of
$400,000 for road maintenance materials, as recommended by the Public Works Director,
Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of $400,000.00 is budgeted over 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 - 100% Local Road
funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department uses asphalt concrete for county road maintenance duties
Countywide. There is no requirement to spend the allocated amount during the year.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Various projects will be delayed or not completed.
