HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10062009 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute an agreement amendment with the California Department of Aging, effective July 1, 2009, to decrease the payment limit by $176,063 to a new payment limit of $3,554,524 with no change in the term from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: Due to Governor's budget veto(s), California Department of Aging, Agreement #AP-0910-07 Amendment 1 reduces the current Area Agency on Aging funding for Community Based Service Programs by $176,633 to a contract total amount of $3,554,524. BACKGROUND: The California Department of Aging State Agreement Amemdment will eliminate the funding for Contra Costa County Community Based Service Programs (CBSP) effective September 30, 2009. Those Area Aging on Aging County programs affected are Alzheimer's Day Care, Brown Bag, Linkages and Respite. Funding for the affected programs has been reduced to the equivalent of 90 days of operation.
