HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10062009 - C.02RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Annual Anticipated DBE Participation (AADPL) and Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE) Goal Report for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funded contracts establishing a 7.43% AADPL, with an Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE, i.e. race conscious) goal of 3.10% in the 2009/2010 Federal fiscal year. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact on the General Fund. Submittal of the AADPL Report to the FAA is prerequisite to maintaining eligibility for Federal funding for County Airport projects. BACKGROUND: Federal regulations require notification of the proposed AADPL to minority and women groups, trade organizations, and the general public. Notices of the proposed AADPL and Methodology Reports’ availability for comment were placed in the Oakland Tribune, Contra Costa Times, and the Small Business Exchange. No comments were received during the requisite 45-day public comment period. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the Board does not take the recommended action, Caltrans will not authorize any Federal funds for County Airport improvement projects in 2009/2010 Federal fiscal year.
