Weir, Clerk-Recorder Date:September 22, 2009 Contra Costa County Subject:Consolidation of City of San Ramon, Acalanes Union High School District & Walnut Creek School District & City of Walnut Creek FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct cost to the County. Any additional costs incurred by the Elections Division by approving this consolidation request will be recovered through billing the affected jurisdictions. BACKGROUND: Granting the requests would allow the County Elections Division to conduct the election for the above mentioned jurisdictions. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Not approving this request would require the above jurisdictions to conduct their own election and could slightly increase costs to those jurisdictions for separate elections.
