HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09222009 - C.51RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24–794–7(11) with St. Helena Hospital St. Helena Hospital and St. Helena Hospital Center for Behavioral Health, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $250,000, to provide inpatient psychiatric hospital services for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is 100% funded by Managed Care Allocation. BACKGROUND: On January 1, 1995, based on the Assembly Bill (AB) 757 (Chapter 633, Statutes of 1994), the State Department of Mental Health (DMH) transferred state funding for Fee-For-Service/Medi-Cal (FFS/MC) acute psychiatric inpatient hospital services and the responsibility for authorization and funding of Medi-Cal acute psychiatric inpatient hospital services to counties. The State DMH continues to provide FFS/MC funding to the County. Approval of Contract #24–794–7(11) will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2010, including mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this contract.
