HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09222009 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Positon Adjustment Resolution Number 20726 to add one (1) Network Analyst I position (LBVA), at salary level B85-1694 ($5,717-6,949) in the Department of Information Technolgy. FISCAL IMPACT: The total fiscal impact of this request is $109,208. This amount will be 100% offset from charges to user departments including, Clerk of the Board, Animal Services Department, Risk Management, Office of Revenue Collections and CCTV. BACKGROUND: The Network Services Group provides Desktop, Server, and Network support for several county departments. They have been understaffed and therefore have hired a temporary staff member to augment the work load. In addition, one of the permanent Network staff will be retiring on September 13, 2009. The Network Services Group has a need to hire replacement staff and allow them time to be trained by the retiring staff. The new member of the Network Service Group will bring a high-level of technical skills augmenting the current staff. These technical skills will allow the Network group to solicit and support additional county departments with information technology needs and continue with the information technology centralization effort. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to approve this Positon Adjustment Resolution will jeopardize the Information Technology Network Services division to successfully and efficiently meet the required level of service to the Clerk of the Board, Animal Services, Risk Management, Office of Revenue Collections and CCTV departments.
