HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09222009 - C.33RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE Appropriation Adjustment No. 5003 authorizing new revenue in the amount of
$22,352 from accumulated depreciation and estimated salvage and appropriating it to
purchase a replacement vehicle for the Office of the Sheriff-Coroner.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The estimated purchase cost of $25,068 will be funded with accumulated depreciation
($21,152), estimated salvage ($1,200), and funds ($2,716) from the Office of the
Sheriff-Coroner budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff-Coroner is replacing one patrol vehicle for the P-1 District. The
vehicle meets replacement policy guidelines.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Board policy allows for the replacement of patrol vehicles with mileage over 90,000. If this
appropriation is not approved, the vehicle will not be replaced and there may be a safety
issue continuing to use a patrol vehicle with high mileage.
