APPROVE the Rental Agreement with Elizabeth M. Grillo, Earl P. Meadows, and Kathy
Meadows (Tenants), in the amount of $0.00 a month for the first 75 days, $500.00 for the
two months following, and $1,900.00 thereafter for the rental of Assessor’s Parcel No.
067-283-009 further identified as 22 Drake Street, Antioch, effective September 29, 2009 or
upon the close of escrow, whichever comes first.
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute said Rental Agreement on
behalf of Contra Costa County (County).
DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above referenced Rental Agreement
delivered to the Tenants.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the County General Fund. The activity is funded by Contra Costa
Transportation Authority (100%).

Subject:Rental Agreement at 22 Drake Street, Antioch area. Project No. 4660-6X4168
BACKGROUND:
This property was acquired from the Tenants for the State Route 4 East, Somersville
Road to State Route 160 project in accordance with the approved plans and specifications
at the September 15, 2009 Board of Supervisors Meeting. The County agreed to enter
into a rental agreement which will allow the Tenants to remain on the property while in
the process of finding and purchasing a replacement dwelling.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Tenants will not have the rights to occupy the property.
