HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09152009 - C.85RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT report prepared by Supervisor Federal Glover's intern, Dana Cruz, on the history of California's budget crisis, as recommended by the Legislation Committee. FISCAL IMPACT: None. The report was prepared by an intern on a pro bono basis. BACKGROUND: At their June meeting, the Legislation Committee requested that a timeline be developed that presents a history of the significant actions undertaken by the government and the voters of California that have led to the present-day budget crisis. This project was completed by District V Intern, Dana Cruz, who did a commendable job on the project during his stint in the County Administrator’s Office in July. Mr. Cruz presented his report to the Legislation Committee in August. The Committee recommended that the report be forwarded to the Board. Attachment A is the report.
