HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09152009 - C.46RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Managed Health Network, effective July 1, 2009, to extend the termination date from June 30 to September 30, 2009 and increase the payment limit by $16,640 to a new payment limit of $83,199 to provide continuing psychological counseling services to employees and their families. FISCAL IMPACT: $16, 640; 100% General Fund, Budgeted. BACKGROUND: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the Office of the Sheriff provides support and counseling for employees and their families. The EAP serves to maintain the emotional, mental, and psychological health for employees and their families and provides counseling and referrals to a network of qualified licensed professionals.
