Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner,
MD), to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #28 507-1 (#10–513)
with the First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission, to pay County an amount
not to exceed $95,000, for provision of the West County First 5 Public Health Liaison
(PHL) and Resource Coordinator Program, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June
30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Agreement will result in $95,000 from the First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families
Commission for the West County First 5 Public Health Liaison (PHL) Resource
Coordinator Program. No County match required.
BACKGROUND:
First 5 Public Health Liaison (PHL) will provide medical consultation services and resource
information to home visiting providers serving children prenatal to five years of age
residing in West Contra Costa County. Programs eligible to receive medical consultation
services are those programs without medical expertise on staff, and/or who have limited or
