Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner,
MD), to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #28 702–9 (#10–017)
with the First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission, to pay County an amount
not to exceed $371,390, for provision of the Home Visiting Program, for the period from
July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This agreement will result in $371,390 from the First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families
Commission for the Home Visiting Program. No County funds are required.
BACKGROUND:
The First 5 Contra Costa Children and Families Commission has adopted a Home Visiting
strategy which has been developed through extensive collaboration and planning with
representatives of nine home visiting programs in Contra Costa County. The goal of the
Home Visiting Program plan is to assure that children ages 0-5, in our communities are
healthy and have access to

On August 19, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #28-702–8 with First 5
Contra Costa Children and Families Commission, for the period from July 1, 2008 through
June 30, 2009. Approval of this Agreement #28–702–9 will allow continuation of the Home
Visiting Program through June 30, 2010.
Three certified sealed copies of the Board Order should be returned to the Contracts and
Grants Unit.
