Date: September 15 2009 Public Comment
On this day the following people spoke to the Board;
Jim Frazier, Oakley City Council and resident, asked the Board to encourage American
Medical Response (AMR) to immediately began payments to Mr. Louis Del Barba,
Oakley resident, who was severely injured in an accident involving AMR who is
appealing the jury's award to Mr. Del Barba whose care is an enormous expense and
hardship on his family.
The following 3 speakers are bothers, Michael, James and Patrick Warholic, Michael and
James are San Ramon residents, Patrick a Folsom, CA resident; who own MS 90-
0141 stating major unresolved problems;
Sophia Damerel, Concord resident, representing Generation Green, non-profit
Environmental Activist Group, info@generation.green,
Lynda Deschambault, Moraga resident, former Mayor of Moraga and Executive Director
Generation Green, Contra Costa Climate Leaders;
Carol Lee, Antioch resident, voiced her complaint involving her grandson about a Board
Member and other County entities;
the Supervisor responded to the accusations saying an investigation took place, he feels
confident his staff, County staff did their job;
Lorraine Farr, San Ramon resident, talked in defense of MS-90-0141, explaining to the
Board the history behind the minor subdivision; the Warholic's are neighboring property
owners;
Allan Cohen, SEIU Local 1021, told the Board his members are not happy with the
Nurses Mou not sharing sacrifices equally;
Rollie Katz, Business Agent PEIU Local One, read petitions from Coalition members
saying "the Board Broke Their Promise" saying all are unhappy with the Nurses not
sharing sacrifices equally;
Vince Wells, Business Agent, Firefighter Local 1230, read names of fallen
firefighters who's names will appear on the IAFF Memorial Wall in Sacramento;
Joni Smith, Delta Diablo 4-H, sent e-mail to District V Supervisor expressing
disappointment that Cooperative Extension did not receive any monetary support from
the Keller Canyon funds distribution.
