Over the last 10 years our data entry activities have decreased because of the installation of online interactive systems in most departments making it possible for departments to perform much of their own data entry. DoIT reached a point where it was no longer cost effective to maintain an in-house data entry section. The County has been contracting with Genesis for data entry services since 1991. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the request is not approved Information Technology will not be able to provide a data entry vendor for various county departments.
