Subject:Amendment of Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council Establishing Resolution
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Supervisor Uilkema has requested one exception to the Board-adopted policies for
municipal advisory councils for the Rodeo MAC. With respect to member appointments,
the policies state: "4. Effective January 2009, MAC member terms shall be coterminous
to the term of office of the District Supervisor nominating the member. " The Rodeo
MAC currently has staggered terms for its members. Supervisor Uilkema wishes to
preserve those staggered terms for the Rodeo MAC members.
With respect to the matter of the MAC's existence, Resolution 2006/797 includes a
provision for the dissolution of the Council on December 31, 2011. By action of the
Board of Supervisors at this time, the dissolution provision in the establishing resolution
is eliminated in its entirety.
