ADOPT Resolution 2009/383 that amends the establishing and governing resolution of the
Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre BART Municipal Advisory Council to be consistent with
Board-adopted policies and boundaries for the council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to the County associated with this action.
BACKGROUND:
On December 16, 2008, the Board of Supervisors adopted policies to improve consistency
in the composition, powers, and operation among the County’s Municipal Advisory
Councils (MACs), as recommended by the Ad Hoc MAC Committee.
Staff was directed to review the Maddy Book, MAC establishing resolutions, MAC Bylaws
and other relevant resolutions to make amendments consistent with all Board-approved
policies. The attached resolution makes the required amendments to the establishing
resolution for the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre BART Municipal Advisory Council, as
directed.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
With respect to the matter of the term of the Council's existence, Resolution 2006/790
includes a provision for the dissolution of the Council on July 1, 2011. By action of the
Board of Supervisors at this time, the sunset provision in the establishing resolution is
eliminated in its entirety.
