HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08042009 - C.76RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74–218–6 with Desarrollo Familiar, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective April 1, 2009, to amend Novation Contract #74–218–5, to increase the payment limit by $24,700, from $130,000 to a new payment limit of $154,700, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $12,350, from $65,000 to a new payment limit of $77,350, with no change in the term of the automatic extension, through December 31, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 50% by Federal FFP Medi–Cal, 45% by State Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), and 5% by Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) #74–218–5 with Desarrollo Familiar, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2009, for the provision of school and community based mental health services for Latino children and their families. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74–218–6 will allow the Contractor to provide services to additional children through June 30, 2009.
