Contra
Costa
County
Subject:Telecommunications Services with River City Communications Corporation
BACKGROUND:
County telecommunication service requests continue to increase due to the rapid
technological changes in voice and data systems. To meet our customer’s service requests,
we need to augment our permanent staff with contract staff from River City.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, then telecommunications work for departments will be
delayed, as the county does not have adequate staff to meet the current volume of service
requests generated by departments.
