Subject:Increase Deputy District Attorney hours from 20/40 to 40/40, effective January 1, 2010.
BACKGROUND:
Recent budget reductions have required the District Attorney to reorganize his office and
how services will be delivered. The District Attorney has developed a plan to adjust
existing positions to maximize deployment of personnel resources. This action will
increase the hours of one Deputy District Attorney position from part-time (20/40) to
full-time (40/40) beginning January 1, 2010. Though this action increases costs, future
personnel adjustments planned for fiscal year 2009/10 will result in a net County cost
savings of $135,520.
