HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07212009 - D.17RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2009/364 to implement the Agreed-Upon Temporary Absences (ATA) for employees of the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority. FISCAL IMPACT: The anticipated savings from agreed-upon temporary absences will help to alleviate the fiscal impact of reductions in assessed valuation and related property taxes revenues. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa County has just completed collective bargaining negotiations with the Coalition labor organizations who represent a majority of County employees. As a part of these negotiations, represented employees agreed to 48 hours of unpaid time off (furloughs) in the current and the next fiscal years. In the spirit of shared sacrifice, these agreed-upon temporary absences are being extended to employees of the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority.
