ATTESTED: July 21, 2009 David J. Twa, County Administrator and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By: EMY L. SHARP, Deputy cc: Susan Cohen, PW Department C.118 To:Board of Supervisors From:Catherine Kutsuris, Conservation & Development Director Date:July 21, 2009 Contra Costa County Subject:Park Dedication Fund Disbursement - El Sobrante Children's Reading Garden Project BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) As a final amenity for the project, the Public Works Department is requesting an additional $28,824 of Park Dedication funds to help pay for the installation of an arbor feature in the park. The R-9 Committee has approved Public Works’ request to access park dedication funds, and there are sufficient funds in the El Sobrante Park Dedication Trust Fund account to meet this request. If approved, the balance in the El Sobrante area accounts will be approximately $490,000. It is the policy of the County to utilize park dedication funds to meet local park needs and this action is consistent with that policy.
